There is no doubt who will be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft.

The real intrigue begins afterwards.

7-foot-4 French sensation Victor Wembanyama is a lock to be selected by the San Antonio Spurs at the start of the draft, while Scoot Henderson and Brandon Miller are in contention to go No. 2 overall to the Charlotte Hornets.

In addition to the young prospects whose NBA dreams are coming true, some established stars could be on the way as the trade rumors swirl.

Follow The Post’s live coverage for updates, picks, trades and analysis from the 2023 NBA Draft at Barclays Center.

What you need to know

Likely to reach the draft, the Magic took the son of longtime NBA player and current Michigan coach Juwan Howard with their second pick in the first round. A lethal shooter with deep range, Howard most projected toward the end of the first round and after teammate Kobe Bufkin.

After aggressively tanking towards the end of the season to keep their top-10 protected pick, the Mavericks sent it to the Thunder. Wallace has the potential to be a game-changing defender as a combo guard as well as an improved playmaker among the league’s most exciting young core.

Hendricks, the first player from UCF ever to be selected in the first round, turned down top-level offers to join the Knights. His two-way ability makes him one of the most exciting prospects in the draft, as he is both a strong rim protector with his 7-foot-1 wingspan and a dangerous 3-point shooter.

The Pacers moved a pick back to take the defensive-minded forward. Capable of guarding multiple positions on the floor and a capable scorer in the paint, Walker has room to grow on the offensive end.

One of the biggest late risers in the draft, Coulibaly was traded to the Wizards after being selected by the Pacers. A teammate of Wembanyama, Coulibaly’s 7-foot-2 wingspan and developing offensive game along with strong defensive acumen garner the most attention.

Maybe a little earlier than most expected him to be picked due to poor shooting, but Black is an excellent passer as a floor general and is a tenacious defender. He led the SEC in minutes last season, and now looks to help fellow youngsters Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner take another leap forward.

Thompson and his twin Amen became the first twins ever to be selected as top 10 picks in the same draft, and they did it back-to-back. An athletic freak, Thompson emerges as a tantalizing two-way talent with better shooting skills than his brother and similar defensive acumen.

One of the highest upside players in the draft, Thompson excels at playmaking and on the defensive side of the ball, but struggles with his jump shot. The twin of fellow projected lottery pick Ausar joins an incredibly young core in Houston.

There was no way Henderson escaped the top three, regardless of the reports that the Blazers were trading. A gifted athlete who thrives when he attacks the rim, the versatile Georgia native now joins Damian Lillard as part of Portland’s core.

The real intrigue was always going to begin with the No. 2 pick, when the Hornets selected the controversial forward out of Alabama. An elite scorer and rebounder, Miller was accused of bringing former teammate Darius Miles the gun that was later used in a fatal shooting, though he has not been charged or suspended.

Hailed as one of the best prospects of all time, the French phenom was expectedly selected with the first overall pick by the Spurs. There wasn’t any excitement with the No. 1 pick, as the 7-foot-4 unicorn has long been trapped. to be the top pick since he proved himself as a must-see talent.
