Liverpool’s stance on Jordan Henderson’s future as the club prepare for an offer from Saudi Arabia
Liverpool are still awaiting an official approach for Jordan Henderson as speculation surrounding the captain’s future intensifies.
The Red Star are considering an offer from Saudi Pro League side Al Ettifaq, who are now managed by Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard, and reports on Wednesday night suggested Henderson is now leaning towards what would be a shock move to the Middle East.
Despite claims the England international’s future could be settled before Jurgen Klopp’s side fly to Germany for a pre-season training camp in the Black Forest on Saturday, the ECHO understands Liverpool have yet to be approached by any club in Saudi Arabia regarding their captain. Thursday morning.
And until an offer comes in for their long-serving skipper, the Reds are planning for life with Henderson as part of their ranks. There is no appetite from within the club to lose a player of Henderson’s importance ahead of a critical campaign.

Thuram price
Liverpool ‘still retain an interest’ in OGC Nice midfielder Khephren Thuram, it has been suggested.
The team reported on Tuesday that Thuram was likely to stay at his current club. This was claimed to be due to the Reds turning their attention elsewhere, Bayern Munich cooling their interest and the player’s own desire to have the best possible chance of making Didier Deschamps’ senior France squad for Euro 2024.
However, Foot market received this Wednesday in a new report. The French publication reported that Liverpool and Bayern Munich are still keen to sign Thuram this summer. Nice would reportedly be willing to sell this summer, but only if the €50m (£43m) asking price is matched. It was also said that the 22-year-old would not force a transfer away from Ligue 1.

Henderson’s future
This would certainly be a strange and unexpected way to end Jordan Henderson’s Liverpool career.
At the club since 2011, Henderson took on the role of first-team captain in 2015 following Steven Gerrard’s exit and could soon be reunited with the 43-year-old.
If the Reds’ No.14 were to move to Saudi Arabia, would it damage his Liverpool legacy in any way? It is a question that many are asking this morning. Share your thoughts below.
