In their ongoing search for midfielders, Liverpool continue to be linked with Nicolo Barella, Gabri Veiga and Ryan Gravenberch, among others, after signing Argentine playmaker Alexis Mac Allister for an undisclosed fee. Reports from Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport indicates the Reds are favorites to snap Barella.
A fee of around £77m has been proposed for the 44-cap national team. Elsewhere, there is believed to be long-term interest in Wolfsburg defender Micky van de Ven as Liverpool target a left-sided centre-back for next season.

CEO addresses Samuel Chukwueze speculations
Samuel Chukwueze has provisionally been linked with a transfer to Anfield.
Arsenal, Aston Villa, West Ham and Liverpool are said to be in the race.
Here’s what Villarreal CEO Fernando Roig Negueroles said about that interest;
It is true that he is excited to play for a big club in Europe or in the Premier League. If this opportunity came up, we would sit down and negotiate it. But it will be necessary to see if there is any beneficial offer for the three parties. In this case, no offer has yet been made.

Liverpool will ‘listen to Musialowski offer’
Liverpool are reportedly willing to listen to offers for Mateusz Musialowski this summer.
It is according to Football Insiderwho reports that the Reds will not stand in his way in the event that an acceptable bid is received either from the Polish Ekstraklasa league or elsewhere.
The report goes on to claim that Musialowski recently switched agents in preparation for a potential departure and that his parents are now monitoring his career.

Benitez ‘close’ to joining European club
Former Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez is reportedly closing in on a return to management at La Liga side Celta Vigo.
Benitez has been out of work since being sacked by Everton in January 2022 after just six and a half months in charge. Before that he had a period in China with Dalian Professional.
And now according to Spanish publication Revelo, negotiations between Celta and Benitez are “accelerated” in the hope of reaching an agreement this week. The La Liga side have been on the hunt for a new manager following the departure of Carlos Carvalhal.
Should Benitez succeed Carvalhal at the Estadio de Balaidos, one of his first tasks will be to discuss the future of central midfielder Gabri Veiga.
The ECHO understands Veiga is one of several midfielders Liverpool are currently considering as Jurgen Klopp and sporting director Jorg Schmadtke look to add further to the engine room following the arrival of Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton & Hove Albion.
Veiga enjoyed an excellent campaign with Celta last term, creating four assists and scoring 11 goals in 36 games, and the 21-year-old, who is likely to be part of Spain’s U21 squad for this month’s European Championships in Romania and Georgia, reportedly has a release clause of around £34m.

Liverpool make Valverde move
Liverpool have reportedly made a recent bid to sign Real Madrid midfielder Fede Valverde.
It is according to TEAM talkwho report that the Reds made a very ‘real’ attempt to bring the Uruguayan to Anfield this summer.
But the report goes on to claim that Valverde reportedly does not want to move and Real are reportedly unwilling to sell anyway. Chelsea and Man City also made moves for the midfielder, according to the report.

Barella is linked with Chelsea
Reports from 90 min indicates Chelsea have emerged as possible suitors for in-demand Inter Milan and Italy midfielder Nicolo Barella amid ongoing suggestions Liverpool could target the player.
The 26-year-old helped his side reach the Champions League showpiece last season. He also helped his country reign in the delayed Euro 2020 final two summers ago.
Amid heavy-handed suggestions that Newcastle were about to buy Barella for £50m. this summer, incoming Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino is believed to be weighing him up as a prime target despite seeing the Blues spend £600m. last season and then fail to secure a top-half finish.

Amrabat ‘the eye’ of Liverpool
Liverpool are reportedly among the clubs chasing Fiorentina’s Sofyan Amrabat in the summer window.
It is according to FirenzeViola.it, via Sports witnesswho report that the Reds and Newcastle United are the only clubs currently “ready to pay” the fee requested by the Serie A side.
The report also claims that the Morocco international has received interest from Atletico Madrid and Barcelona. ECHO also understands KhephrenThuram is high on the shortlist as the Reds plan further midfield additions.

Walker transfer twist
According to Simon Jones of the Daily MailKyle Walker is keen to stay at City and has opened talks over a contract extension.
After starting his career at Sheffield United, Walker moved to Tottenham Hotspur where he stayed until joining Manchester City in 2017.
He has since played over 250 games for the Etihad club and won 12 trophies, including five Premier League titles and the Champions League.
But the report from Jones also claimed interest from Liverpool had also been rumoured, but it would be difficult to see such a transaction taking place between the Premier League rivals.
Walker has also recently been linked with a move to Bayern Munich.

Barella Liverpool transfer request
According to Sports newspaperLiverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United and Newcastle United are all interested in signing Nicolo Barella from Inter Milan.
The report from the Italian publication also claims that Barella is open to a move to the Premier League and that Liverpool are at the front of the queue for the 26-year-old.
Barella won Serie A with Inter in 2021 and helped the Nerazzurri reach the final of the Champions League in 2023 and the final of the Europa League in 2020. The midfielder also won the European Championship in 2020 with Italy.

Keito Nakamura transfer odds
Liverpool are favorites to land LASK Linz striker Keito Nakamura this summer.
The Reds are 3/1 favorites too Paddy Power landing the 22-year-old was a shining light for the Austrian giants in the 2022-23 season, where he tallied 17 goals and eight assists from 36 games in all competitions.
Borussia Dortmund are second favourites, priced at 4/1, with Aston Villa 5/1 to land the Japan international.

Micky van de Ven update
Micky van de Ven is “high” on Liverpool’s list of defensive recruits this summer, according to David Lynch.
The ECHO’s Ian Doyle reported earlier this month that the Reds were targeting a left-sided centre-back and Micky van de Ven makes sense as a target, having starred for Jorg Schmadtke’s former club Wolfsburg.
The Dutchman, who has spoken of his desire to move to a bigger club, is reportedly not for sale.. although we will have to wait and see what happens next.

Sadio Mane to Saudi Arabia?
Sadio Mane could be the latest player to be targeted by Saudi clubs.
A number of top players across Europe are eyeing Saudi clubs following the PIF’s recent acquisition of four teams, with Cristiano Ronaldo joined by Ruben Neves and a host of other top stars.
And Mane could follow, with Ekrem Konur reporting that “Al-Nassr are preparing an opening bid for the 31-year-old”.

Gravenberch green light as Liverpool consider options
Ryan Gravenberch is a serious option for Liverpool this summer as they consider their options in the transfer market.
The Dutchman has spoken about his future at Bayern Munich after struggling for playing time at the Bavarians and has reportedly given the ‘green light’ for Liverpool to make their move.
Meanwhile, Paul Gorst has the latest on Liverpool’s interest.
He writes: “While Alexis Mac Allister has already arrived as a major reinforcement at Anfield this summer, the prospect of regular minutes in Jurgen Klopp’s midfield is open and available to anyone who comes through the door this summer.”
