Liverpool transfer news – Romeo Lavia latest, Arda Guler fee, Victor Osimhen claim

Having signed Alexis Mac Allister for an undisclosed fee, the Reds continue to target further additions this summer with central midfield still seen as the priority area. Ryan Gravenberch, Khephren Thuram, Manu Kone, Nicolo Barella and Gabri Veiga have been mooted as options for Jurgen Klopp and his recruitment team.




Reports from Spanish publication national state Klopp will “demand” to buy Gravenberch for £21.3m after his one season with Bayern Munich in Germany. Elsewhere, it has been suggested that Liverpool are planning to offer £68m for Barella, while current club Inter Milan are “open” to sanctioning a move for the 26-year-old Italy international.

Chelsea ‘to end Caicedo deal’

Chelsea are reportedly planning to finalize a deal with Moises Caicedo.

The 21-year-old midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge recently, having also been linked with a move to Liverpool.

But according to The telegraphChelsea are likely to make a new offer for the Brighton star once they have recouped more money from the sale.

Williams expected to leave Liverpool on loan

Rhys Williams is expected to leave Liverpool on loan again this summer.

The ECHO understands a number of clubs are interested in the 22-year-old, but Aberdeen are currently leading the race for his signature.

Liverpool boast strong relations with the Scottish Premier League after impressing with how easy they were to deal with last summer when negotiating the move of Calvin Ramsay to Anfield. Meanwhile, both clubs were pleased with the success of Leighton Clarkson’s loan move to the Dons last season.

Clarkson has since joined Aberdeen on a permanent basis and Williams could now follow in his former team-mate’s footsteps to Pittodrie.

Tottenham ‘pushing for deal for Maddison’

Tottenham Hotspur want to seal a deal with Leicester City for James Maddison this week Telegraph claims.

The report, by John Percy, claims Maddison is a priority target for new Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou, with Tottenham now pushing hard to agree a fee with relegated Leicester in the next few days.

It is also claimed in the same piece that Leicester are demanding up to £60m for the attacking midfielder and that Newcastle United have also been targeting the 26-year-old. However, the Magpies have now cooled their interest as they prepare to complete the signing of Sandro Tonali from AC Milan.

Fofana transfer requirements

Arsenal are lining up Monaco star Youssouf Fofana as an alternative to Declan Rice after West Ham rejected three bids for the England international.

It is according to French publication L’Equipe, who report that the Gunners are battling Newcastle United and West Ham United for the midfielder. The Hammers are demanding, it is claimed, a £100m fee for Rice.

The 24-year-old had an excellent season at the French club, with these impressive displays leading to speculation linking him with a host of clubs across Europe.

And a report from the Daily Mail back in May claimed that one of the sides interested in securing his signature was Liverpool.

Fenerbahce prodigy Arda Guler reportedly has a clause that will allow him to leave for under £15m after clocking up 1,500 first-team minutes.

It is according to Mailwho report that Liverpool, along with Newcastle United and Manchester City, are well aware of his talent, while Ajax and Real Madrid have also been linked.

The ‘Turkish Messi’ has played 51 games over the past two seasons, scoring nine goals and adding 12 assists in all competitions.

Liverpool have reportedly inquired about a possible deal for Romeo Lavia.

The ECHO previously stated that the Southampton star is a player of interest to the Reds as they look to strengthen their midfield and it has been claimed that moves are now being made for a possible signing.

That Daily mail have claimed Liverpool have ‘sounded out’ Saints over the 19-year-old and have asked about the ‘terms of a deal’.

Southampton are expected to demand more than £40m for the teenager.

Liverpool show ‘strong’ interest in Doku

Liverpool are said to be showing ‘strong’ interest in Rennes winger Jeremy Doku.

Linked with a move to Anfield two years ago, the Belgian is reportedly back on the Reds’ radar.

It is claimed his current employers will not sanction a sale for a fee lower than 50m. EUR (£42.8m).

Diaz will wear No. 7 next season

Liverpool have announced that Luis Diaz will wear the number seven shirt from next season.

Diaz has worn the number 23 until this point, but has now been given an iconic number previously worn by Luis Suarez and James Milner.

Supporters who have already bought next season’s home shirt with Diaz’s old number on the back will be refunded and offered a new shirt with the Colombian’s new number.

Keane gets a job as manager

Former Liverpool striker Robbie Keane has been appointed as the new manager of the Israeli team Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Keane worked as an assistant to Sam Allardyce at Leeds United last season but could not keep the Whites in the top flight.

Osimhen ‘highly valued’ by Klopp

Napoli striker Victor Osimhen continues to be linked with Liverpool.

A report emerged on Saturday afternoon that the Reds were one of three Premier League clubs to hold talks with the 24-year-old and Gazzetta dello Sport has issued an update on the situation, adding that “important offers may come in the coming days”.

The Italian publication adds that the player is ‘highly valued’ by Jurgen Klopp, although Liverpool ‘want to consider all aspects’ of a potential deal before taking any further interest.

Napoli are said to be seeking €180m (£153.9m) for their star striker.

Liverpool ‘offered’ Ndicka

Liverpool reportedly turned down the chance to sign Evan Ndicka ahead of the centre-back’s recent move to AS Roma.

Formerly at Eintracht Frankfurt, the Frenchman became a free agent this summer and has ended up in Serie A.

Liverpool were among the club linked with Ndicka ahead of this move, although the ECHO made it clear in March that the 23-year-old was not a player being pursued.

Red ‘closes’ on Thuram

Liverpool are ‘closing in’ on the signing of Nice midfielder Khephren Thuram, it is claimed.

This was the latest update provided by Football Insider on Sunday, with the Reds ‘pushing hard’ to conclude an agreement for the Frenchman.

The above article adds that Liverpool sources now ‘expect’ a deal to be completed for the 22-year-old.

Firmino’s future

Roberto Firmino could be the latest player to swap the Premier League for Saudi Arabia.

The outgoing Liverpool striker is claimed to be ‘in talks’ with Al-Ahli, with talks ongoing.

It is according to Fabricius Romanwho adds that the Saudi club is preparing medical tests in case Firmino gives the green light to join the club.

Klopp ‘orders’ Gravenberch move

Jurgen Klopp has reportedly ‘ordered’ Liverpool to sanction a deal for Ryan Gravenberch.

The Bayern Munich midfielder remains linked with the Reds after a challenging first campaign at Bayern Munich where the Dutchman’s first-team chances were limited.

Klopp is looking to ‘take advantage’ of the player’s situation, according to The nationalhaving been ‘convinced’, Gravenberch will easily fit into the Reds’ system.
