Reports surrounding Liverpool’s transfer news continue to swirl as they look to continue their move in the market.
Alexis Mac Allister does not appear to be the only one coming to Merseyside as the likes of Khephren Thuram, Gabri Veiga and Ryan Gravenberch continue to be heavily linked. The trio are all on international duty in Georgia and Romania for the U21 European Championship, but that hasn’t stopped the speculation.
Elsewhere in the Premier League, Liverpool’s rivals continue to cast their nets to catch their targets. Manchester City, Arsenal and Manchester United, to name a few, continue to dominate the headlines.
Jude Bellingham’s future has been secured with Real Madrid winning the race, but James Maddison and Declan Rice remain under scrutiny over where their next move will be.

Manchester City
Manchester City are on the verge of strengthening their defensive ranks with reports in Germany suggesting that RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol will play for the club. According to Kickerthe 21-year-old has agreed to a long-term deal at the Etihad Stadium.
While the first official offer has yet to be made, Pep Guardiola is expected to make the move in the coming days. There is no release clause in his contract, which currently runs until 2027, but the fee being proposed is said to be in the region of £77m. plus additions.
Liverpool were said to have admired the Croatia international but were put off by the hefty price tag Die Roten Bullen slapped on him.
Reports in Spain suggest City are in the market for PSG defender Achraf Hakimi. With Kyle Walker linked with a move away from the Etihad, Pep Guardiola is looking to sign the Moroccan according to Feel.
Arsenal
According to talkSPORT, Arsenal have received a boost in their battle for Declan Rice. Manchester City are also in the hunt for the West Ham and England midfielder.
However, it has been reported that the Hammers captain prefers to stay in the capital rather than a move to the North West. City have been said to have held talks with Rice over a possible move, but interest from the Premier League champions has not abated.
The Gunners have already seen their first two approaches rebuffed and could make a third bid of £100m, which would end the chase.
Meanwhile, their movement in the transfer market does not end there. That Mirror have reported that Ajax defender Jurrien Timber believes he has a deal in place with Ajax that could open the door to a move to the Emirates Stadium.
The Netherlands international is said to be ‘desperate’ for a move to Arsenal. Manchester United were keen on the defender last summer, but he turned down a move to Old Trafford.
Manchester United
Manchester United and Mason Mount are still one of the big stories of the summer. The Red Devils have had three bids rejected by Chelsea for the midfielder and it has been suggested they could walk away from the table after their latest approach was rejected.
Liverpool were previously interested in the English national team player, but now Erik ten Hag’s team faces another competition The Guardian reports that Bayern Munich are trying to hijack their move.
Thomas Tuchel knows the Mount well after winning the Champions League during his time at Stamford Bridge. The report claims they are now stepping up their interest in the 24-year-old.
Elsewhere in The times, United are turning their attention to other midfield targets after rejecting the opportunity to splash out on the Chelsea man. Jonathan Norcroft reports that their focus has shifted to the south coast for Moises Caicedo.
The Ecuadorian is said to be top of their list, with Brighton & Hove Albion valuing the midfielder at £80m. He has five years left on his current deal at the AMEX Stadium, but United have had a long-standing interest in the midfielder.
They further report that the Old Trafford club will continue their efforts to sign a new centre-forward with Atalanta’s Rasmus Holjund and Eintracht Frankfurt’s Randal Kolo Muani earmarked as prime targets.
Newcastle United
Newcastle United are close to signing AC Milan midfielder Sandro Tonali for around £55million. The Italian will be the record signing at St James’ Park and become the most expensive player from Italy.
And their search for signings doesn’t end there. But one player they won’t be signing is Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic. The Serie A giants are looking to offload a number of players as they look to free up the wage bill following their points deduction.
Fabrizio Romano has dismissed talk that the towering Serbian striker will be heading to the North East. He told Caught offside: “Despite working hard in the Italian market in recent times, one player Newcastle United are not looking at at the moment is Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic.
“I don’t know if Eddie Howe appreciates the Serbian or not, but right now there is nothing concrete in these connections.”
Borussia Dortmund are leading the race to sign Felix Nmecha, according to reports in Germany. The Wolfsburg winger has been the subject of interest from Newcastle, but Edin Terzic’s side look set to beat Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig to the signature of the former Manchester City prospect.
Tottenham Hotspur
Newcastle are also competing with Tottenham Hotspur to acquire the services of Leicester City midfielder James Maddison. The saga rages on at the King Power Stadium, while the midfielder’s destination remains up in the air.
The Foxes relegation have apparently decided that his future at the club is elsewhere. That Email online have reported that Spurs will renew their efforts to sign Maddison, but a rival bid from the Magpies is not off the table.
Ange Postecoglu was a ‘creative midfield force’, it has been said, and the England international fits the bill. There have been suggestions that Newcastle moving for Tonali could pave the way for a move for Maddison to north London.
Although it has been reported that despite spending £55million on the Under-21 international, they could make an offer for the midfielder.
