The summer transfer window continues to ramp up nicely with Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham all trying to complete more big signings as pre-season looms. Arsenal are set to announce the huge double arrival of Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber, with both players now said to have passed their medicals. The Gunners are also said to be interested in a move for Mehdi Taremi at Porto, as they are similarly eyeing the likes of Xavi Simons and Ivan Fresneda.
Chelsea remain locked in talks with Brighton over Moises Caicedo and have reportedly held talks over Romeo Lavia at Southampton along with Arsenal and Liverpool, with Gabri Veiga also on their radar as Christian Pulisic joins the Stamford Bridge exodus under Mauricio Pochettino. Manchester United are on the verge of replacing the late David de Gea with Andre Onana in a £50m deal and are also bidding for Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund.

While Arsenal fans await news of their next two big signings, their headline arrival of the summer window so far is now back from holiday and in the midst of pre-season training.
Kai Havertz was at London Colney on Saturday and was put through his paces as a number of his new team-mates drew 1-1 in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Championship side Watford, with Brazilian winger Marquinhos on the scoresheet for the Gunners.
Bayern Munich are ready to present a new Harry Kane offer
Bayern Munich are reportedly ready to make their next bid for Harry Kane.
The reigning Bundesliga champions have already seen a bid for the England captain knocked back by Tottenham this summer.
But Bayern are undeterred and The Mail on Sunday report that they are now set to table an improved proposal for Kane – Thomas Tuchel’s No.1 transfer target – that could be worth almost £70m with add-ons.
However, it is said to be at the “top end” of what Bayern are willing to pay for a player with just 12 months left on his current contract and nowhere near enough to convince Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy to sell.
Kane is due to return to pre-season training at Spurs this week, where he will hold crunch talks with chairman Levy and manager Ange Postecoglou.
Tottenham want Cucurella as Perisic’s replacement
Tottenham are also being very tentatively linked with Marc Cucurella at Chelsea this weekend.
The Blues have sought to offload the Spanish left-back this summer, just a year after his £63m move. from Brighton after a terrible first season where he struggled for form and was even booed by his own fans.
Chelsea have been eyeing potential buyers in Saudi Arabia amid interest from Atletico Madrid, although Standard Sport reported on Friday that Cucurella is dissuading potential moves as he wants to fight for his future under new boss Mauricio Pochettino.
Football Transfers now claim that Spurs are closely monitoring Cucurella’s situation and are ready to bring him in as a replacement for Ivan Perisic, who looks set to leave London even in this window after just one year.
Tottenham target Ko Itakura
Tottenham are said to be eyeing a new transfer target in Ko Itakura.
Spurs have moved quickly to bolster their squad for a new era under Ange Postecoglou, already bringing in the likes of James Maddison and Guglielmo Vicario as they also look to seal deals for Manor Solomon and Micky van de Ven.
But they are not stopping there, with Sky Sports in Germany reporting that they are now competing with Serie A champions Napoli to sign versatile Borussia Mönchengladbach defender Itakura.

Manchester United have won the race to sign Andre Onana, reports claim.
Erik ten Hag had identified the Inter Milan goalkeeper as his preferred long-term successor to David de Gea, whose departure from Old Trafford after 12 years was finally confirmed yesterday after months of speculation and a contract reversal by the club.
The Daily Mirror reports that United made inquiries for both Feyenoord’s Justin Bijlow and Eintracht Frankfurt’s Kevin Trapp, but Ten Hag only wanted Onana.
The Cameroon international is now expected to complete his £50million move from Serie A to the Premier League in the coming days.
Arsenal and Chelsea battle for Romeo Lavia
Arsenal also appear to be involved in a battle with Chelsea and Liverpool for Romeo Lavia.
The Belgium international midfielder, 19, is widely expected to leave Southampton in a high-profile transfer this summer following Saints’ relegation from the Premier League.

Arsenal will pay a club-record £100m upfront for England midfielder Rice – also a new record fee for a British player – with a further £5m added on.
Meanwhile, versatile Dutch defender Timber will cost £34.2m plus a further £4.3m in add-ons.

Bayern are preparing a new bid for Kane
Bayern Munich are preparing an improved bid for Harry Kane but fear it will not be enough to persuade Tottenham to sell.
According to the Mail, Bayern will offer in the region of £70m for the Spurs striker, who still has an uncertain future, just days before the club fly out for their pre-season tour.
It is claimed that the Bundesliga side want to agree a deal as soon as possible, but it looks increasingly likely that they will be priced out.
